MSS Reaffirms Commitment to Support Security and Stability in Haiti.
The primary mandate of the United Nations' sanctioned Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission to the Republic of Haiti is to assist in creating the security conditions conducive to the Government of Haiti’s goal of holding free and fair elections.
As a part of this mission, the MSS, in collaboration with the HNP, continues to conduct joint operations and patrols aimed at disrupting gang activities and securing critical government infrastructure. These efforts are key in stabilizing the nation and ensuring the safety of its citizens.
The MSS is currently still in the deployment phase and is transitioning, with the arrival of additional security personnel from personnel contributing countries, to the decisive operations phase.
The collaboration between the MSS and HNP is crucial to bringing about the necessary stability for the progress and prosperity of Haiti. However, the MSS and the HNP will continue to do this with the support of the Haitian people. So we would like to extend our gratitude to the Haitian people for your continued support and cooperation as we work together to tackle the gang-related threats affecting the country.
The MSS therefore reaffirms its commitment to the people of Haiti and pledges that we will continue to steadfastly support the efforts of the HNP to restore law and order to the Republic.
We are committed to seeing Haiti regain its glory.
